libpstreams-dev software package provides C++ iostream interface to POSIX process I/O, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libpstreams-dev
libpstreams-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libpstreams-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libpstreams-dev *
You will get with libpstreams-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
